New supportive group for self-identified women survivors

This group will run for 8 weeks at Survivors' Network offices in central Brighton. It will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6pm - 8pm, starting in June.

We intend the group to be small, with a maximum of 8 people, so spaces are limited.

It will be a psycho-educational and creative group, with space for reflection and discussion. We hope to create an environment where women can share and feel supported. The weekly agenda for the gorup will be decided by the participants.

For further information or to make an appointment for an initial meeting please email: or call Azmin, Groupwork Co-ordinator, on 07403 392348

Particpants in previous groups have said:

"The group has been a lifeline for me, it has supported me to look at issues which I struggle with but mainly has helped me realise that this is normal, I am not alone with these issues and actually it's common - almost identical with others. This has helped me feel better about myself."

"Being in a group of understanding and supportive people has really changed my outlook on life and myself. I have felt more confident and comfortable with my feelings and expressing them in some form (especially art). "

"I thoroughly enjoyed learning about myself and sharing that with others".

"Generally, I have seen a different way of being is possible - one in which I am able to be more integrated & whole and don't have to pretend. Thank you!"

"I have enjoyed every moment of this group and knowing I am not alone helps my recovery process...I never thought I could get to know and care for so many people so quickly.. Really had such an amazing time. "
