Our online self-care group is for adult self-identifying women survivors of sexual violence and abuse. We usually have 6-8 women, plus a facilitator and two trained volunteers.
The self-care group offers a chance for us to reconnect with looking after ourselves. Each session covers a different aspect of self-care, including physical, emotional, and psychological care; we start by looking at the theme as a whole, then doing an activity together to demonstrate it. You will be sent a package containing items to use during the session.
It is not a therapeutic or trauma-processing group, but rather a way for a group to come together and learn some new self-care skills. Therefore it is not a space to speak about past experiences.
If you are interested, please refer yourself to our Welcome Team here . You will be invited to have an assessment within about 2-weeks, where you can find out about other support, we have available.
If you have already had an assessment with our Welcome Team, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. You will be invited to have a short assessment about groupwork and be given more information.
Please be aware we have a waiting list for this group.
