6-Week Online Self-Care Group
Reconnect with looking after yourself
Please note that we are not currently running our self-care groups. Please check back for when we reopen the waiting list.
Our online self-care group is for adult self-identifying women survivors of sexual violence and abuse. We usually have 6-8 women, plus a facilitator and two trained volunteers.
The self-care group offers a chance for us to reconnect with looking after ourselves. Each session covers a different aspect of self-care, including physical, emotional, and psychological care; we start by looking at the theme as a whole, then doing an activity together to demonstrate it. You will be sent a package containing items to use during the session.
It is not a therapeutic or trauma-processing group, but rather a way for a group to come together and learn some new self-care skills. Therefore it is not a space to speak about past experiences.
We are a trans inclusive organisation and welcome trans women to our groups. Our groups operate on self-identification. You are welcome to contact the Volunteer Led Service Coordinator if you have any questions regarding this – dropin@survivorsnetwork.org.uk
