Walk of Survivors

31 March 2019, starts at 12:30pm from The Level, Brighton

After a wonderful first march last year, the Walk of Survivors is back this March as part of the B Right On LGBT Community Festival!

The event is hosted by the Survivors Movement, and will begin with a march at The Level and proceed up to The Phil Starr Pavilion, Victoria Gardens for a family friendly event.

We are delighted to support this grassroots movement for a second year, and to have a stall at the community event where you can find out information about our services and ask our staff and volunteers questions about the work we do.

The Survivors Movement explains, “The concept of The Walk of Survivors is to essentially create a pride for survivors to be proud of the survivor they are today. The organisers aim to send the message of empowerment, courage, strength, solidarity. They as survivors realise and understand the importance of changing how the general public look upon this as a stigmatised and taboo subject and they feel it’s time to create a platform to speak out and encourage future generations to speak out sooner.”

  • This is a whole community event.
