It’s been just over 3 years since we worked with @tobymadden to create this incredible film and while much has changed in the landscape of sexual violence… the rise of digital based image abuse, the shifting conversations about online misogyny, Gisèle Pelicot’s landmark trial… much has stayed the same.

Survivors are still silenced. Still disbelieved. Still feeling isolated and alone.

The years serve as a stark reminder that even when it feels like there is progress, we must keep our foot on the peddle and work even harder to advocate for ALL survivors.

Want to learn how to meaningfully support survivors?

Join us online for our Impact of Sexual Violence and Abuse Training, where we explore what sexual violence is, challenge common myths, and look at the lasting impacts of trauma on survivors’ health and wellbeing.

This session also focuses on practical ways to support survivors, whether in your professional role, within your organisation, or in everyday life, while recognising the importance of looking after your own wellbeing as a supporter.

Our training is informed by over three decades of experience supporting survivors, and is delivered by a therapeutically trained facilitator with over 15 years of experience working across sexual violence support services and alongside the criminal justice system.

Together, we can build greater understanding, confidence, and compassion when responding to sexual violence.

Today is International Women’s Day. ✊

A day to honour women’s achievements, acknowledge their struggles, and celebrate all women, past, present, and future. From the women who fought for rights we hold today, to those continuing to push for change, women’s strength and resilience have always shaped our world.

This year’s IWD theme, “Give to Gain,” got us thinking about everything women already give, their time, labour, care, and emotional energy, often without recognition or reward.

So we wrote a blog reflecting on the theme, asking an honest question: haven’t women already given enough? 🧐

There are so many misconceptions about how DNA evidence is collected and used when prosecuting perpetrators of sexual violence, and recent conversations across the sexual violence sector about the use of self-swab kits have highlighted just how confusing this information can be.

We spoke with our ISVAs (Independent Sexual Violence Advisors) to help clarify some of the key questions survivors often have about DNA evidence and what their options are.

Having clear, accurate information matters. Survivors deserve to understand their choices and make decisions in their own time.
