Valentine’s Day can feel complicated for survivors of sexual violence.

While the world talks about romance and connection, many survivors are navigating complicated emotions, triggers, boundaries, or learning what safety and love even feel like again. And that is valid.

Today, our #MessagesOfLove are for you. 🤍

If you have ever been to one of our offices or met us at any events, you may have seen our messages of love. Written by fellow survivors and supporters to show they care.

Love does not have to mean relationships, grand gestures, or expectations. Sometimes love looks like some kind words. Doing something kind for yourself. Nurturing and leaning on your friendships, or even just getting through another day.

If today feels heavy, you are not alone.

It's Sexual Violence Awareness Week and we are ANGRY.

We're also soft, warm, hopeful and all kinds of things that make up the human experience, and keep us going in what we do. 💜

Many of us can be afraid of anger, as so many of us have seen or experienced horrible expressions of it. But it's OK to be angry.

We wanted to share some of the reasons we are angry, as they are BEYOND not OK.
