Support for Parents & Carers
Supporting a child who has experienced sexual violence is incredibly difficult. We’re here to help you feel more confident, informed, and supported as you both heal.
Supporting a child or young person who has experienced sexual abuse or assault can feel overwhelming, painful, and confusing. You may be struggling to make sense of what has happened, worried about saying or doing the right thing, or unsure where to turn for support.
At Survivors’ Network, we understand that parents, carers, and family members also need care and guidance. Our team is here to listen, offer practical advice, and help you find ways to support both yourself and your child through this process.
You don’t have to have all the answers — you just need to be there. We can help you understand trauma and its impacts, explore how to talk to your child about what’s happened, and connect you with services that can provide emotional and therapeutic support.
You are not alone in this. We’re here to help you feel more confident, informed, and supported as you help your child heal.
