Sexual Violence is no joke! This is why this year

Sexual Violence is no joke! This is why this year Brighton Fringe has partnered with local charity Survivors’ Network who support survivors of sexual assault and abuse in Sussex.

Survivors’ Network has helped @brightonfringe make this year’s festival a more supported space by providing event and box office staff with trauma-informed training.

May is a busy month for Brighton and Survivors’ Network receives more referrals over this month than any other. Help us take a zero-tolerance stance against sexual harassment and assault in our city.

This week marks International Anti-Street Harassm

This week marks International Anti-Street Harassment Week!

Public Sexual Harassment (PSH) can affect anyone of any age, race or gender, however we see consistently from statistics and reports that young women and girls and disproportionately affected by PSH.

"Street harassment is NEVER a compliment or ‘just banter’. It’s a failure to protect women, girls, and marginalised genders from systemic violence, and it’s completely unacceptable." - @ourstreetsnow

Did you catch Helen, our Training and Partnerships Officer, on BBC South East Today last night?

The feature focused on South East Ambulance Service’s commitment to the NHS Sexual Safety Charter in response to complaints that student paramedics feel unable to speak up against sexual harassment.

The Sexual Safety Charter is a comprehensive roadmap for businesses to promote and ensure staff safety and provide more comfortable and positive workplaces for all.
