Recruiting: Volunteer & Helpline Coordinator

We are looking for an enthusiastic Volunteer & Helpline Coordinator to join our team and make an impact on the lives of survivors of sexual violence.

Survivors Network are pleased to be recruiting for a Volunteer & Helpline Coordinator. 

This new role will work with the Volunteer Services manager to recruit, train, onboard and retain our Groupwork & Helpline Volunteers. They will also cover our helpline shifts, taking calls from survivors and the support the helpline volunteers.  

They will have strong experience of working or volunteering on a helpline and engaging with people who are vulnerable and / or have experienced trauma. 

They will be skilled in working with and managing volunteers, have knowledge of what support they need and how to enhance a volunteer’s experience.  

Post holder must be able to work Mondays 6 pm -9.15 pm and Wednesdays 11.00-14.30 from our Brighton office to support our helpline.  

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS. 

This role is only open to women applicants, as being a woman is deemed to be a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9 pt 1 of the Equality Act 2010.This means the role is open to women assigned female at birth or transwomen with a Gender Recognition Certificate.  

Hours: 24-30 hours per week  

Salary:  £27,680- £29,961 (pro rata) 

Fixed Term Contract until March 2026
