Volunteer Services Volunteers

Provide life-changing frontline support to survivors across Sussex.

Our Volunteer Services include our Groups and Workshops and Helpline & Email Service. These services are run by our team of fully-trained, self-identified women volunteers.

We are currently recruiting for Volunteer Services Volunteers!

  • Role Title: Volunteer Services Volunteer
  • Reporting to: Volunteer Services Coordinator
  • Who can apply? Self-identified women, aged 21+ years old.
  • Hours: We are looking for people who can primarily volunteer during daytime hours to support our Peer Support Group (Tuesday 10.30am-1.30pm) and Helpline & Email Service (Wednesdays 11.30am-2.30pm). In addition to these daytime hours, it may also be possible to cover shifts for our other services, which run Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. 
  • Location: Our central Brighton office. Please be aware that this building has several stairs. Please let us know if you have any accessibility needs.
  • Commitment: We ask that you commit to volunteering 12-14 hours per month. This includes attending a minimum of 3 shifts (each shift is 3 hours long), mandatory monthly group clinical supervision (1.5 hrs every second Tuesday evening of the month, online) and the monthly Volunteer Meeting (1 hr every second Tuesday evening of the month, online). 
  • Deadline: Monday 12th September 2022 9.00am
  • Interview date: TBC. Interviews will be managed remotely via Zoom.  
  • Volunteer Induction Training Programme: You will need to be able to attend all 5 of the below training days.
